This was my experiment for the day. I tried just some water droplet photography but it wasn't as successful as I would have liked, so I backed up a little ways and tried something different.

Christmas Break
Okay, so I may have gotten a little photo happy with this entry. So far this break has consisted of a lot of editing, cropping, retouching photos, editing my resume and portfolio, a little bit of hanging out with friends, and a some time with the dogs, and a hike through Mohican State Park -And I have been running (almost) everyday!
Not only do I love to photograph my dogs, but it can be really challenging. Photographing my dogs means practicing getting my exposure, composition, and focus all as soon as I can because I never know what these guys are going to do next. They are so unpredictable and I think photographing them on a somewhat regular bases keeps me on my toes.-Don't let the photos fool you, they may seem like they are really calm and predictable most of the time; but in reality it is quite the opposite.
Hope everyone had Great holidays and have a Happy New Year!

Abandoned Pittsburgh Sneak Peak
This past weekend me and my parents went to Pittsburgh and other abandoned areas of Pennsylvania. All three of us had cameras. It was awesome to get to see the abandoned steel mills, factories, and round houses and more. I tried some HDR, everything else had to be shot with high ISO's and low shutter speeds; which made it a bit challenging to get good imagery. I had a lot of fun and I am pretty happy with the photos I came back with.

Documentary
This video was done for my first Video class. Unfortunately, I was limited to less than five minutes, so I didn't get to put in nearly as much as I wanted to; so I added what I best felt would help others get a viewpoint of his job. I drove all over Northern Ohio following my dad with a camera in really cold weather that I didn't prepare myself for. -Overall, it was a great experience! Shooting the video was my favorite part of the whole process.

Environmental Portrait/ Documentary coming soon!
For my video class we have to film and edit a documentary. We were asked to focus on something we are familiar with and something that the other classmates may not be able to bring to the table. Considering my dad is a truck driver and it is something I am mildly familiar with, I decided to follow my dad around with a camera. -In this assignment I learned to be prepared for the worse; 1)Converses do not make good cold weather gear 2)Gloves are a necessity even if it does make filming more difficult (it is more difficult when your fingers go numb) 3)You loose your batteries a lot quicker in the cold!!!
Ultimately, this was a great experience. I got to learn first hand how to frame and compose video and some of the challenges that go along with that. I get to show the world what my Dad does as a truck driver. And once I got back into my heated car it didn't take terribly long for me to get the feeling back in my hands and feet!
